Surveillance video captured a woman, who was not identified, getting out of her car with a purse that held $75,000 to go into a business she is believed to own, FOX 26 Houston reported. Before she arrived at the business, she went to the bank and took out the cash for “legitimate business reasons,” the Miami Herald reported. 

Police believed she was followed from the bank to the business by the thieves in an SUV. As she was about to enter the business, she was attacked by a suspect who tried to take the purse containing the money.

Both she and her husband, who ran out to help her, put up a fight but were beaten in the process. The woman was run over by one of the robbers. Both victims are now hospitalized.




The deputy was able to arrest one of the suspects. The suspect, identified as Davis Dowell Mitchell, 31, was charged with aggravated robbery. The other man is on the loose and police have asked anyone with information to contact the office. KHOU 11 reported police were searching for other members of the group.


Mitchell has been charged with felony aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. No bond was set.

Bank teller accused of triggering violent robbery in northwest Harris County

Shelby Taylor Wyse has been arrested in connection with a violent robbery last week in the 23200 block of U.S. 290.


A bank teller has been accused of signaling multiple suspects to rob a woman who had withdrawn $75,000 in cash from Wallis State Bank last Friday, triggering a violent beating that left the woman hospitalized with a broken shoulder, according to police.

The teller, Shelby Taylor Wyse, 25, was working last Friday morning at the Wallis State Bank on FM1960 when the victim made the transaction near Wyse's work station, police said. Authorities believe she sent a "go signal" to the suspects, one of whom was her boyfriend.

Wyse was booked into Harris County Jail on Wednesday on a charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. Her bail has been set at $75,000.

Two other suspects have been identified as Travonn Johnson and Davis Mitchell, who are in custody without bond. At Wyse's probably cause hearing Wednesday, prosecutors said Wyse was in a dating relationship with Johnson, who drove a vehicle leased in her name during the robbery.


Johnson has also been accused of attacking Wyse on at least two previous occasions, according to court records.


During the robbery investigation, police viewed video surveillance footage from the bank that appeared to show Wyse watching the victim during the transaction, prosecutors said during Wednesday's hearing.
The video then showed Wyse sending a text message, which police presume to be a signal to the other suspects. Harris County Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman said investigators are still working to obtain a search warrant for the Wyse's phone to read the message.

After the $75,000 transaction, police said Johnson and Mitchell followed the victim in separate cars around 9:30 a.m. The woman eventually pulled into a Valero convenience store in the 23200 block of Northwest Freeway in  Jersey Village. She and her husband work at a check cashing business inside the store on Fridays, Herman said.

Video surveillance footage shows the woman walking into the store when a suspect — whom police identified as Mitchell — attacked the woman and yanked at her purse.

While the woman resisted, her husband came to her defense and fought Mitchell. That's when a black Chrysler 300 pulled up to the location and a man — now believed to be Johnson — got out.

The video appears to show Johnson stomping and beating the couple.  At one point, he appears to  get back in the car and back over the man and woman.

The woman never let go of her purse but sustained a broken shoulder, Herman said. The husband was treated on the scene for "cuts and bruises," he said.

Both Johnson and Mitchell are facing charges of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. Herman added that his office is still looking for more people involved in the crime, but he did not want to comment Thursday on the number of additional suspects.

During the investigation, police tracked down Wyse after they learned that she leased the Chrysler 300 used in the robbery at a local Budget Rent a Car.

When confronted about the car, Wyse said the vehicle was stolen the morning of the robbery, but she never filed a report with police, prosecutors said.

The woman's connection to Johnson can be traced back to at least May 2017, when the Harris County Pct. 7 Constable's Office charged Johnson with assaulting Wyse once on May 1 and again on May 16, court records show.

Johnson allegedly pushed her in a pool and "gouged her right eye" with his finger on May 1. On May 16, he was accused of hitting her with his hand and breaking her nails.

Wade Bainum, a Harris County Public Defender, said during Wyse's hearing Wednesday that she's been living in Houston for six years and has an 8-year-old child. He said she did not appear to have any previous criminal history.

Officials at the Wallis State Bank declined to comment on the matter.

Một phụ nữ Mỹ bị những tên cướp tấn công và lái xe đè qua người trong khi giằng co để giữ lại chiếc túi xách chứa nhiều tiền mặt.

Sự việc xảy ra hôm 17/8 ở thành phố Houston, bang Texas, sau khi nạn nhân rút tiền ở một ngân hàng và bị các nghi phạm đi ôtô bám theo với âm mưu cướp túi xách, NBC cho hay.

Dừng lại ở một trạm xăng mà bà đồng sở hữu, người phụ nữ bị một tên bất ngờ lao đến từ phía sau giật lấy chiếc túi chứa 75.000 USD trên tay. Tuy nhiên bà ngay lập tức níu lại và giằng co quyết liệt với kẻ này.

Chồng của người phụ nữ cũng lao ra khỏi trạm xăng và cố gắng khống chế tên cướp nhưng bất thành. Họ vật lộn trên mặt đất để tranh giành chiếc túi.

Một cảnh sát phát hiện sự việc và cũng xông vào can thiệp tạo ra một cuộc hỗn chiến. Ít phút sau, nhóm cướp lái xe đè vào người phụ nữ rồi giằng được chiếc túi bỏ chạy.

"Chúng từng làm điều này rồi. Chúng rất tàn nhẫn", cảnh sát viên quận Harris, Mark Herman, nói. 

Cảnh sát đã đuổi theo và bắt được một nghi phạm là Davis Mitchell, 31 tuổi. Y bị buộc tội cướp tài sản với tình tiết tăng nặng. Nghi phạm còn lại là Travonn Johnson, 27 tuổi.

Người phụ nữ được đưa đến bệnh viện địa phương trong tình trạng nghiêm trọng, còn chồng bà chỉ bị một số vết sưng, bầm tím.

Nhân viên ngân hàng báo tin để đồng đảng cướp $75,000 của khách

HOUSTON, Texas (NV) — Một nhân viên ngân hàng ở Texas bị cáo buộc là gửi text thông báo đồng đảng việc một phụ nữ vừa rút ra số tiền $75,000 để hai kẻ kia theo nạn nhân về tới tiệm và cướp tiền bà này.

Nghi can Shelby Taylor Wyse ra trình diện trước tòa hôm Thứ Năm 22 Tháng Tám, và là người thứ ba bị bắt trong vụ cướp táo bạo tại một trạm xăng sau khi nạn nhân đến rút tiền từ ngân hàng Wallis State Bank trong quận Harris County, Texas, hôm Thứ Sáu 17 Tháng Tám, theo bản tin đài truyền hình KTRK.

Bạn trai của nghi can Wyse là Travonn Johnson và một nghi can khác, David Dowell Mitchell, bị bắt trước đó.

Hình ảnh an ninh ghi lại trong ngân hàng cho thấy nghi can Wyse để ý người phụ nữ khi bà này rút tiền ra, sau đó gửi bản text đến cho Johnson để thông báo.

Trong một đoạn video khác, thu được ở trạm xăng, người ta thấy Mitchell tấn công người phụ nữ và tìm cách giựt cái ví của bà này. Người chồng của nạn nhân, lúc đó cũng ở tiệm, chạy ra  để ngăn cản và bị hai nghi can tấn công.

Nghi can Mitchell bị bắt không bao lâu sau vụ cướp. Johnson và Wyse bị bắt hồi đầu tuần này.

Cảnh sát có được bảng số chiếc xe các nghi can dùng để chạy khỏi trạm xăng, thấy đây là xe thuê dưới tên của Wyse.

Nghi can Wyse khai với cảnh sát là chiếc xe bị lấy trộm sáng Thứ Sáu đó, nhưng chưa có thời giờ báo cảnh sát.
