As you mentioned, I did see a few old retired men are living in VN. Those didn't make a lot of money, that's why they come back to live in VN. I guess they want to die soon because all I saw everyday is they sit in front of the house to enjoy with the air pollution. I couldn't stand for 15 mins on bike so mostly used grab.
I don't even think I would spend on 401k because the 3 months pensions would be enough for a month vacation.
75% of my money is in 401k and 457b, I was thinking of 2 mil a the end of quarter but didn't make it. I guess it would be some point at the end of the year. That's all I want. I still have no idea of what to do with this since I have pension.
I have around 22K cash in stock account that gives me $50 interest monthly. That's not bad compare to bank at 0.05%
IRS provides "Free File Fillable Forms," Don't forget, only certain income qualify. Same as state, you have to use 540 form only for free. Not allow for other 540x forms.
Hola, bienvenido de nuevo. ¿Tiene algún recuerdo dulce, más que patético, de su viaje que quiera compartir? I didn't notice that Spanish is used in Vietnam nowadays.
Yes, I agree! I preferred a private tour versus a group tour.
Air pollution isn't a problem because those retirement men tend to be jubilant about other things.
Aw, what was wrong? A spoiled Viet man, aren't you? So you've missed biking to enjoy the weather and natural scenery.
That sounds acceptable. Most Vietnamese Americans spend a lot of money when they come back to visit. I knew an uncle who spent $40k and returned to the USA after three weeks with only a pair of old clothes.
Here are a few things to consider if you don't have any specific plans for your retirement money.
a). Buy a foreign country vacation home and rent it out to tourists/local people (under table income if possible)
b). Become a lender to someone you can trust and have collateral assets.
c). Buy a private jet, fly whenever you like, and charter if you are not using it. One of my friends owns this; he is so proud and happy.
Some banks have Money Market Deposit Accounts/High-Yield Savings Accounts with interest rates above 5%, Bro.
Nope, brother! I have been using this offer from the IRS for years.
[Free File Fillable Forms are electronic federal tax forms, equivalent to a paper 1040 form. You should know how to prepare your own tax return using form instructions and IRS publications if needed. It provides a free option to taxpayers whose income (AGI) is greater than $79,000.
Fillable Forms:
E-file federal tax forms using form instructions
Available for any income level
No guidance and limited calculations provided
No state tax preparation and filing]
Of course, I am doing my state tax return and filing with its office.

Hu? 40K for 3 weeks? That guy must have spent on girls. I was there for 2 months where I spent on everything included a premium ticket to VN for around $7.5K (Food, fruits, trip in VN-with limousine, Grab, Japan-$1800, Thailand-$340, and Taiwan-$560)
I was fine in the country side except in Sai Gon, the air pollution was too bad that I couldn't stand it.
No longer want to own anything, time to get the headache away.
I don't trust anyone to lend money even family members ...lol.... Whatever you lend them, 95% they don't pay back.
Instead of private jet, I rather get 10 ace of land and 4000 sqft home. RV has been consider 1st of choice at the moment.
Any way, we had a meeting today with a group of 7 coworkers about 401k to see what option with the money since we get charge around $500/yr account management. All of us got all most the same amount of gain over 20 years, around 120% gain. Our plans were aggressive where it's either big gain/loss. 5 of us plan to move to Fidelity IRA and Roth IRA and buy CD where it's 5% interest whenever it's available. This would guarantee 5% gain annually without loss. Our plan is for 4-6 years CDs, then start withdraw around 60 year old and set it for 10 years. The other two in the group continue aggressive.
I have shared my funds and gain/loss below to family members and only 2 of them follow my steps. The rest don't since I can't responsible if stock crashes ...lol... so they're freaked out. I just share what I have so it's up to them. I told them that "you can't take out until 60, so why not aggressive." And make sure they never think about withdraw for buying house or any hardship.

Why? More "Hola," please.....please... pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee. It's fun.
I am not sure. Perhaps he had a private tour and was "over the moon" when the "spider-legged" whispered to his ears with a sweet-flirt voice even though he had transcended age.
What a nice trip.
I haven't traveled to those countries yet, except Vietnam.
Yes, so do I. I picked the quiet rural areas with rice fields, green mountains, and blue rivers rather than the Sai Gon town.
Are you going to "blow off steam" for a moment or enlightenment as everything in life is just a morning dew?
Indeed, doing business with family members is horrifying. Despite this, I became a mortgage lender and provided a personal loan with an executive lien against the assets if a breach of contract arose.
If you want to "spice things up," it is okay, but you need specific land development plans. Otherwise, it's wasted.
Consider buying a numerous square-foot house only if you have a large family. I am tired of cleaning a 4700-square-foot home. Meanwhile, I used only one room, and the others collected dust.
I thought about it once and am still shopping around for a good deal on recreational vehicles; if you have experienced it, please share.
Did you suit yourself in a group of 5 or 2? According to your previous chart, you guys are doing well. The current interest rate is over 20 percent annually, but watch out for "the tip of the iceberg," eh?

gracie mucho my group co-workers are all different races: Chinese, American, India, Mexican, and Vietnamese so we always have lunch at different restaurants each time. It's a great environment and diversity at work until COVID, everybody is working from home.
The best trip in VN was starting from Sai Gon to Da Lat, Nha Trang, Phan Rang, Phan Thiet, and Ta Dung. From Phan Rang to Phan Thiet on the route along the VN coast, it was like driving HW 1 in California. Then from Phan Thiet to Ta Nung was like going to Yosemite, beautiful scenery.
I am different with others that I don't have to spend all what I have made. My brother would inherit all of my 401k so there is no reason I want to gain more than what I need. It's just fun and enjoy to see how I can gain that much but no intention of spending them unless I want to get a big house with 5-10 acres.
I had lived in 4100 sq-ft home for 8 years by myself. It was the best moment of my life to enjoy of what I wanted. It's true that I used the dinning room more often and even slept there too ...hihihi... However, I did used other rooms as entertainment. Kept all the room simple for easy cleaning where it took me 4 hrs each week.
I am one of the 5 in the group, need to be more conservative before reaching 60. Assume 5% CD for a couple years, that would give me around 100k guarantee annually. The other 2 wants to get a big house to compete with other coworkers ...lol... so they want to gain more. Of course in the last 20 years, we got into iceberg 4 times and 2022 was the highest negative 290k. We weren't worry much since we can't take out until 60. Actually, all of us don't really need 401k since we own houses and no mortgage. It's lucky that we have pension and SSA that we can take 1 month vacation every 3 months.
Still don't know if I want RV without motor or without since I currently tow the boat and ATV with SUV so I don't want too many cars that doesn't use often. Maybe keep the boat for water ski for few more years then make decision after that. Have a lot of friends that I can get a used one for cheap, but they come with motor. But for now, I like to travel around the world first
It has taken us over 20 years to reach this point so I wish you would be success when you reach 50. 20 years ago to dream of million but now it's nothing. A billion would never happen for sure, it's too late. ...lol...

De nada
That's a glorious and memorable moment, eh? The COVID-19 pandemic affected the majority of people's lives. You and I are lucky, as we are still growing our wealth and enjoying life.
I like Ta Dung because it still has natural scenery. Do you have any unforgettable explorations of Ta Dung to share?
I just discovered that you and I have some similar attitudes. I love working hard but spend very little on myself. I am not a tightwad, but I stretch the dollar wisely. Did your brother know that he'll hit the jackpot in the future? You must love your brother with all your heart.
Since you repeatedly dream of a home with 5-10 acres of land, which locations do you desire?
Only eight years? Do you still own that 4100-square-foot house? Ironically, I also decorated my main bedroom, but I'm fond of sleeping on the floor instead. Are we in karma retribution?
Yes, very coherent, " Create your spark."
I am fishing these Trimmatom Nanuses while waiting for Rhincodon Typus to come, and my daily meal is captured with candlesticks phone.
Yeah! Enjoy traveling as much as possible and doing what you love; life is short. Have you stopped by Italy yet?
Brother! I found out that the HOA at my location prohibited permanently parking an RV in public view.
Think enoughness gets abundance and happiness, eh? Thank you for your meaningful wish.

Ta Dung is a manmade park. it was great but took a long trip to get there. However, girls along that route between Phan Thiet and Ta Dung are cute and sweet ....lol...
Somehow, I like to see the money's coming in but not bother to spend. So every time I spend, I never look to see if I have enough cash. My brother only knows that I use his name for beneficiary. And I did show him where I keep the Living Will/Trust. He knows the houses for sure but not the cash. He has paid for my cellphone over 15 years and never asked me to pay so I guess he is the chosen one for it.
This is something I has been looking at. I'm currently checking once a month around this location, I have been driving around here and enjoy the view of this town. It's cheap and quite place. The address below is one of the sample and around this house. The reason I sold the big house is because of this one ..lol.... I need to sell 2 more houses so I can buy with cash. The big house I had only got 4 bedrooms so the master bed is like 1000 sqft included the closet and bath. I guess it's your house so you can sleep anywhere as long as it's clean and comfortable.

That's a good dividends income there. I think I have 300k in Roth, If I buy CD in Roth, I would gain 15k each year where it's no tax on gain. The stock market is probably still going up so I will stay and keep as it for another year before move all out for CD.
Europe is next but not sure when. And no more tour, this time would be 1 city at a time.
HOA is one of the reason I sold the big house. When I submitted the app to build a driveway to the left side of the house for the boat or RV, they didn't allow it, they don't want to make the front yard looks ugly with concrete. They wanted me to use temporary plastic pads to drive over the grass. No HOA allows you to park boat or RV on driveway because the public view.

Ta Dung Lake is also synthetic, brother? My experience with Vietnamese girls, especially in the countryside, is that they are rustic, sweet, and naturally pretty.
What??????? So do I. I inserted one credit card and never had cash in my purse. The assets-growing chart doesn't vex or agitate me at all. I am satisfied with what I have in this life.
Be aware that many homicide cases are related to wealth patrimony nowadays. I didn't mean to corrupt your relationship with your lovely brother, but sometimes keeping a secret is best for safety. Contrast, I own pricey things, but my blood relatives never know about them. I listed each beneficiary's inheritance and percentage stake, which manifested only after I died.
The listing property you provided isn't to my taste, brother. The images are nice, but I prefer the Mediterranean style, like the one I live in. Is Wilton, CA, a new housing development? How's the economy there?
I support whatever plans are suitable for you.
It's sensible. You could also search the real estate market and possibly invest there while enjoying travel, "Light two candles with one flame," eh?
Indeed, the HOA in my subdivision has more intricate rules and regulations.

When you go to any rural area or countryside, majority of girls are natural beauty.
Tà Đùng National Park is a manmade hydroelectric power plants where they can create something good and beauty but not sure if there is any environmental issues. I think I will come back here for a few days to explore again.
I guess we have something in common but spend wisely.
I know what you mean but you have to trust your instincts. This is the reason my sister gets nothing but the younger bro gets everything. it may be depend which State but as in California, it doesn't require lawyer for will/Trust. What you did may cost around $2k-5k but it doesn't cost me anything, all I need is to sign/date the Will/Trust. It's ok to get notary at your bank too which it's cheaper. Already told my parents that, everything must going to the youngest bro, sister won't get a penny because I'm worry mom would give sister something. All of us are working for Gov. so they will get pension to survive anyway.
The listing is just one of the sample in Wilton, CA. I can get lower property tax transfer from the old house where it would save me a little bit if I buy a new house. And it's only available one time in your lifetime. Wilton is an old town and was cheap until new development in my city build near border of Wilton where the price is up recently. Otherwise, that house would cost around 500K. I have been driving around Wilton and it looks like Napa wine county.
Just found out that my 401k investment fund has Tesla too, it's one of the biggest Tesla holder I guess I will hold my 401k until 2027 to see anything big happen.

Three giggle icons this time?
Yes, absolutely! Would you marry a village-traditionalized or city-modernized girl if there was another chance? And handpick morality or intelligence?
I see. Everything has two sides affected. I hope Vietnam keeps and saves natural scenery as much as possible. If you can stop by Ta Dung again, will you share your experiences? Have you ever traveled to Hawaii yet, brother? I booked a ticket to Honolulu the following month after a decade returned inland. I am unsure where to find interesting areas to explore or have special meals nowadays.
I more than agree.
I have a bit of a difference in this thought. I do not follow my instincts, but I treat them fairly. I gave a higher percentage to those who needed it to survive. It would be fine if the legal document states your name, is signed, and is notarized. Most people living in the Sacramento area work for the government, right? I had a few cousins doing the same.
Based on your information, I am virtually viewing the Wilton locations. I anticipated Elk Grove's population is currently too crowded, so they are expanding to the east like West Sacramento, as they did years ago. What is your recent percentage of property taxes in Wilton? When buying a house with a lot of land, ensure there is flat land, no hill land, no building restrictions, and must have road access rights. Have you heard about Temecula City? I nearly bought a custom-built home with acres, but 90 percent was hill land. Is the transferable property tax only applied to the primary real estate or the second/vacation homes?
Congrats on Tesla shares; they've been doing pretty well lately. On a side note, what is your perspective on the BTC symbol? If you want to discuss it, I would like to hear your conservative pros and cons before considering another investment.
Brother.

if there was another chance? Anytime local city girls decent too but the village-traditionalized is the best. Doesn't have to be intelligence but at least 4 year degree, without job is fine
Been to Hawaii a long time ago too but was able to drive around the whole island. I would recommend to get a car to travel the whole island. Do not go submarine tour, 90% you won't see fish and dark water. I stayed at Hilton so it's a bit far to Waikiki international night market. If you stay at Waikiki, then walk around for food. Viet food in downtown where you need a car. Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve is great for snorkeling. Honolulu Polynesian Cultural Center is another place to visit but do not buy diner package because it's not that good, rather to eat at somewhere else.
Have you ever looked at Tahiti? I would recommend Tahiti and Mo'orea island. Ferry from Tahiti to Mo'orea around 20 mins I think cost $25, my cousin is local so she got only $20 ticket/person. Stay 2 night at Tahiti to enjoy the city then 2 night at Mo'orea for the beaches. Best to have car for both Tahiti and Mo'orea so you can drive around the islands, take around 2 hours drive. Tahiti has a few beaches, especially the black sand beach with super clear water. Only 1/4 of Mo'orea island can swim, the rest has a lot of rocks, it's big thought, not that small, you can get to a few beaches here. Don't bring any food, you can get nuoc tuong, nuoc mam, mi goi, everything at the market and it's cheap. If you go, let me know so I can look at the map again where to get good French bakery. Don't bother going to Bora Bora because you still stay at one area anyway, you really don't need to go another beaches on the island because they are pretty much the same. And the cost for flight from Tahiti to Bora Bora around $400 for 2 hours or a day of ferry cost $100. And everything is cost double compare to Tahiti and Mo'orea because they have to bring the food and drink from outside to the island.
Above middle class, they live in Roseville and El Dorado Hills. Elk Grove is a dead area where you have to shopping at Roseville and El Dorado Hills, that's like 45 mins driving. When the housing market crash, they cancelled shopping center in Elk Gove. West Sacramento is still a low income area. California property tax is around 1.12% that's why the housing is expensive. Temecula City is a small city and depend what kind of job you have and it's 1/2 between Orange county and San Diego, it's good if you're retire otherwise you would be miserable with traffic both ways. Transferable property tax only 1 in a life time from a primary home and must be 55 year old or older . Only Gov. offices in Sacramento and 2-3 high tech companies They salary is decent for most of BS degree where it's above 6 figures after 10 years. And the best part is the salary automatic annual raise up to the max, doesn't matter how good you work and annual review, everyone gets the same raise. Annual raise is different where it's around 2-3%. Don't show your cousins my 401k, they would freak out If they want to know, just tell them to go with the plans Large, Mid, and Small Caps, all gov. employee has the same plans, these are the only one that can reach to 25% gain. However, it's big loss if crashes.
No BTC for me, as well as I know, some of friends were losing all and they're out of it I only focus on CDs after retirement. If my calculation and estimate are correct, I may have 200k stable and conservative annual income starting at 60.

You left me only one allowance icon....hic..... hicccc...
Huh? You weren't even in matrimony, weren't you? I apologize for the personal question if it arises. My instinct is to notice that you're not a fierce, coercive man in cohabitating wedlock. With those requirements, you should get the desired girl easily nowadays.
Thanks brother for your valuable input. I'll stay at one of the Waikiki's hotels and plan to visit nearby attractions by moped, taxi, or bus. I am not renting a car due to parking restrictions and high demand. When I reach the island, my friends encourage me to try Hawaiian delicacies at Foodie Paradise, especially Poke and Loco Moco.
I appreciate your recommendation of Tahiti and Moorea. I'll keep these magnetic places on my Explore the World list, as the next trip will be somewhere in Asia.
Back in 2004, West Sacramento was blooming. One of my old friends was proud to buy a house there. I didn't know that it is still one of the low-income areas. Can I use my parent's name at one time in life for transferable property taxes? How do reassessment systems work, brother? I asked my cousins instead. They worked for the government for over 20 years but have little savings in their 401k. Perhaps they chose the Small Caps or different plans for their security and safety.
Your answer is very straightforward on BTC. I'll forget about that preserve. Yes, the CD would be safe to invest in. If something happens to the bank, the account holder has coverage by FDIC and doesn't have to face "the calm before the storm."

Not really a personal question. Sometimes, it could be benefit me
Those places should have a lot of parking, I won't use moped or taxi. It's not like crazy San Francisco or New York. For Viet food, don't look at review by anyone other than VNese. There are some weird people that they cook Viet food to bring with them to Hawaii such as my cousin's family, they even bring instant noodle. This would ruin the vacation because you have to eat with them. When I am on vacation, I would go out eat anything that interested.
Everywhere was blooming around Sacramento but West Sac and Natomas are wet land, you have to buy flood insurance. I did have couple friends in West Sac that they left after few years to East side Anatolia but they faced another issue was housing market crash where there was no super market and shopping
Transferable property taxes must be the same name on the primary home and new home. I believe you have 1 year to fill out the form and there is a sample of reassessment to see how much tax you would save.
It's true that some people don't have 401k at all such as my coworker, he gets the same pay as me but he doesn't have 401k, not sure where he spends all his paycheck since he is single too. So he has to work until 65 in order to get 80% pension to survive. 80% at 65, he can go vacation every month
This is the funds available for us: Large, Mid, Small are the high risk. If they invest a lot in one of these funds, they would gain 120% after 20 years. I have Mid 60% and 20% Large and Small. The rest are low risk and conservative.

There is no reason you leave any assets to your kids All you need to do is paying their education until they graduate and get a job. Let them start from there with an empty hands, they need to learn how to earn the living then they can get whatever you give them. I started from nothing and that has taken over 30 to reach where I am. So money is not really important any more as long as enough to survive for another 20 years of retirement. Then I am happy.

I used the entire cerebrum and psyche to formulate your answer, but I still have not figured out what "benefits" you would receive.
Finding a parking spot in Waikiki and Chinatown is horrifying, brother. In addition to that, I like to drive the moped around Waikiki with a traditional Vietnamese long dress early in the sunrise to catch the fresh air atmosphere. Please give me a high-five, as we're having common thoughts again. I usually choose restaurants based on the five senses and experiment independently, despite viewers' good/nasty comments. I only bring clothes, girly pieces of stuff, and a wallet to vacation. You're right; we must adapt and experience the new environment, including food, culture, weather, etc.
My old friends were stuck in West Sacramento as they purchased a house during the peak-price season. They were stubborn and didn't bother buying flood insurance even though their home was next to the Sacramento River. Do you believe in destiny? Perhaps your friends were drifting fate.
I see. I'll do more research and deliberately calculate the savings from transferable property taxes. If it is worth it, the next step is to sign a Warranty Deed.
Most single people don't spend much, and your co-worker might invest in some sources secretly broad elsewhere. Who knows, eh? He might be wealthier than the version that we saw. On a different note, the question again: why do the preponderance of rich people tend to choose to be single?
They had none of those you mentioned but owned some bonds, treasury bills, and diversified real-return fund plans.
Yes, these are very well-trained methods for children. You have impeccable Daddy manners, don't you? I genuinely appreciate your perspective on life. I didn't know you started your career and became wealthy by being empty-handed. You set an excellent example for everyone around you and inspire me to work harder. May all your wishes come true.

Don't you see when I say I am single, then I get a lot of introduction. Is that what you call "benefit"?
ic, didn't realize Waikiki hard to get parking. I stayed at Hilton so it wasn't bad and went to Waikiki without any problem. My friend went last month, he got a car too and didn't hear complain except he loved it. By the way, if you know someone with State or Federal workers, you can get 50-60% off car rental but that person must be on the rental.
Sacramento was flooding in 90 I think and haven't happened again yet. I thought they would be force to pay flood insurance in the flood zone if there is a mortgage.
Single does spend a lot but still less than a family. P reponderance? I guess it's relate to prenup It seems like Viet girls hate it when they hear prenup. I did mention to a few girls to see what their reaction then they walked away for good. I am not a typical Viet guy that "tiền anh là tiền em" “Prenup em ơi, những gì anh đă có nó sẽ hông thuộc về em, it's only going to the kids“ And when it comes to money, most Viet women want to keep it instead of husband. There was a girl that I told her to keep account separate, I will pay all the bills and she does whatever with her paycheck but she refused Don't you see it's complicate? It's hard earn money so you don't want to throw away easily, use it wisely.
They probably don't work for state; otherwise, they should have the same funds available as I have.
A lot of us escaped VN by boat then we got nothing left after arrived in US. We did anything to survive even heavy work and lived in a low income ghetto area until graduated. The best part in 80-90 was a lot of funds available for low income during school so it was helped out to pay everything. The first job was 37K/year, that's when I dreamed to have million and didn't know if I ever see that money. Now I dream to be a billionaire which it never happens. Living under low income over 10 years did make me better growing up in that condition and truly appreciate how life is. This is the reason that I said I can give all money away before I die. I don't need to spend all.

1..2....3....4....5....6.....7.....8.....9.....and....gosssshhhhhhhhhhh....10 icons today?
I don't see any; I am naive, am I? Are you truly content with that kind of "benefit?"
Um, thanks, bro. I guess there are more parking spaces available nowadays. I'll confirm with some friends and reconsider renting a car when I arrive. Getting 50% to 60% off the car rental is a good deal, but I don't want to burden my cousins since they'll not be on the same vacation as me. Besides, according to their observations, I am wealthy and spend lavishly, but I am a meticulous penny-pincher.
Even though Sacramento is identified as the nation's most significant metropolitan flood risk, my friends still don't want to spend money on flood insurance. I am unsure, but perhaps they paid off the mortgage and are outside the flood zone.
No, don't include me! I ate only a bag of spicy Shin noodles per day. Now I see why rich people find it hard to get married. To avoid a prenuptial disagreement, you must find a girl who is richer than you and loves who you are from the bottom of her heart.
Conceivably, you didn't have a chance to meet true love or do not love them with all your heart. When true love comes to life, money means zero. Materialistic love doesn't last forever.
The defense for most Vietnamese women is that they don't trust their husbands to handle the money, as husbands tend to be generous, especially to young girls/mistresses.
My two cents opinion is when you meet the dream girl, don't mention how wealthy you are, but pretend to be poor and hard working. She'll derive the jackpot if she loves you in that condition.
There's the exception: aggrieving, a netizen you're chatting with doesn't want to manage/control money. She would like to be a boat; her official husband would be a captain; their children would be voyagers; with her husband's support, the boat would eventually launch to the peaceful land.
I am unclarified and "lost at sea." My cousins may work in different departments that do not offer 401k plans or want to keep their information private.
Aw, you're a boat person as well? I can feel and console you, brother. No wonder you're so mature mentally and emotionally, as you've gone through ups and downs and a miserable time. Yes, please do whatever gives you inner peace and follow your heart. Money doesn't mean everything.
Brother!
