Dùng swab để collect để test Cov19 rất dễ bị lây nhiễm hơn là dùng serum, vì thế sẽ dùng IL-6, turn around time 1hr+, nhanh hơn là sending out to test.

SF đòi hỏi phải có ít nhất 1 symptom.  LA thì có thể test free dù có symptiom hay không, con số người bị ở LA đông gấp 2 hoặc 3 lần nơi khác, nên có lẻ họ cần tìm những người bịnh và không symptioms. Những thành phố khác thì tuỳ theo local governments. Nghe nói trong thời gian này họ chỉ làm swab test, nhưng tương lai có thể họ sẽ dùng cách check anti-body IL-6 .

What to do

1. Check if you can get tested
Testing is currently available for any person living in San Francisco who has 1 symptom, or has been in close contact with a positive COVID-19 person. Any essential or frontline worker can also get tested, regardless of symptoms or exposure.
Testing is free. You do not need medical insurance to get tested. You do not need a doctor's note to schedule a test. Photo ID is not needed. You may be asked to show photo ID, but you can say no. 
The process will take about 20 minutes. The results are available in 1 to 5 days.
For people who live in San Francisco
Anyone living in San Francisco can get tested if they either:

• Have one symptom, or
  
• Have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 within the past 14 days
  

Symptoms of COVID-19:

• You have a fever over 100.4° Fahrenheit or 38.0° Celsius
  
• You’re shivering a lot
  
• You have a cough
  
• It’s hard to breathe
  
• You feel tired or sore
  
• You can’t smell or taste anything
  
• Your throat hurts
  
• Your head hurts
  
• You have a runny or stuffy nose
  
• You have diarrhea, feel sick to your stomach, or throw up
  

For essential and frontline workers
Any essential or frontline worker can get tested, regardless of symptoms or exposure. 
A frontline or essential worker is anyone who leaves their home for work and at least one of the following:

• Interacts in person with members of the public, or
  
• Cannot maintain physical distancing at their jobs, or
  
• Works directly with vulnerable populations (such as those who are experiencing homelessness, have serious medical conditions, or who are over age 60)
  

Workers may work for a private organization/company, a small business, a nonprofit, a public entity, or The City and County of San Francisco. Active volunteers who meet the criteria are also eligible.
