SILVER SPRING, Md. (ABC7) — Police in Montgomery County released video Wednesday of a robbery that happened at a Silver Spring beauty supply store last Friday.

According to police, three suspects entered Esther's Beauty Salon/Supplies located in the 9300 block of Georgia Avenue at around 6:49 p.m. on July 27.
While there, police say the suspects attempted to steal wigs.


Two store employees, a 74-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman, attempted to stop the robbery, police say, but both were assaulted and pepper sprayed by the suspects.

Police say the man received a laceration on his head during the assault. Both victims were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the suspects were only able to get away with one wig during the robbery.
