1 of Esper job is to make S.Korea pay 1/2 of the cost for America protecting them. USA spent $11 billion in 2019 protecting S. Korea. They only paid abiut $927, mind you that S.Korea is a rich country now, and still has preferred trade status with the USA. Trump told Esper to make S.Korea paily $5.5 billion for defense. S. Korea only paid about $1 billion and said they have no money.

Same thing with NATO. They want USA pay for everything.
