Tampa, Florida Dec 2025 (winter is the best time to visit Florida (cool temperature (66 degrees F), low humidity). Florida in summer feels like VN (hot and humid, especially after a shower).

The old Sunshine Skyway Bridge was destroyed when the freighter MV Summit Venture collided with a support column during a violent thunderstorm on the morning of May 9, 1980, causing a large section of the bridge to collapse into Tampa Bay and killing 35 people. 
Key Details: Date: May 9, 1980, around 7:30 a.m..
Cause: The freighter, navigating through a sudden squall, struck a pier, leading to a catastrophic failure.
Impact: Over 1,200 feet of the bridge collapsed, sending vehicles, including a Greyhound bus, into the water below.
Aftermath: The incident led to the construction of the new, safer cable-stayed bridge, which opened in 1987, and the remaining portions of the old bridge are now fishing piers.

cám ơn bạn Dewdrop. mình dùng iphone. I uploaded these images to the hosting site "Postimages.org", then they removed some pixels from the images to reduce the file size and network traffic. As a result, these images don't look as good as they're shown on my PC. .:)
