Quân đội Nga hôm thứ Hai đã sử dụng lựu đạn gây choáng và nổ súng chỉ thiên dữ dội để giải tán những người biểu tình ôn hòa tại thành phố Kherson, miền nam Ukraine.
Trong video có thể nghe thấy tiếng súng nổ liên tiếp, vết máu trên mặt đất và những người mang theo cờ Ukraine chạy tới giúp người đàn ông dường như đã bị trúng đạn.
Cùng ngày, Tổng thống Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy đã lên tiếng ca ngợi những người biểu tình vì lòng dũng cảm, nói rằng cuộc chiến đã biến những người Ukraine bình thường trở thành anh hùng và kẻ thù không tin rằng tất cả điều này đều là sự thật.
Ông Zelenskyy cũng thêm rằng, ông đã thấy “những kẻ nô lệ bắn vào những người tự do, nô lệ của những lời tuyên truyền đã thay thế lương tâm của họ”.
Kherson với khoảng 250.000 dân, nằm gần Crimea (một bán đảo được Nga sáp nhập vào năm 2014) là thành phố lớn đầu tiên của Ukraine rơi vào tay quân Nga. Moscow đã chiếm được thành phố ngay trong tuần đầu tiên của cuộc xâm lược.
Kể từ đó đến nay, các cuộc biểu tình của người dân phản đối lực lượng chiếm đóng đã diễn ra liên tục. Người biểu tình thường hô vang: “[người Nga] về nhà đi!” hay “[Nga] là bọn phát xít!”
Trong những người biểu tình, có cả người Việt Nam sinh sống tại Ukraine.
“Tổng thống Ukraine [Zelensky] bảo rằng không được động chạm, không được gây sự với bọn nó, chửi thì chửi được, đừng có làm hành động gì… Chỉ biểu tình là Ukraine muốn theo Ukraine thôi…”, một người Việt tham gia biểu tình tại Kherson cho biết.

Elon Musk's Starlink satellite system is helping an elite Ukrainian drone unit destroy Russian weaponry, according to The Times of London.
The Aerorozvidka specialist air reconnaissance unit operates drones modified with thermal cameras to see Russian military vehicles like tanks and command trucks at night, The Times of London reported on Friday. The drones have been modified to drop anti-tank grenades on targets, per the newspaper.
"If we use a drone with thermal vision at night, the drone must connect through Starlink to the artillery guy and create target acquisition," an Aerorozvidka leader told The Times of London.
The Starlink internet system ensures drone teams can work even if there are internet or power outages — which are rife in war-torn Ukraine.
On February 26, Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine's vice prime minister, asked Musk on Twitter to send Starlink terminals to Ukraine. Musk complied, writing back to Fedorov on Twitter a day later that Starlink service had been activated in Ukraine and more terminals were en route.
Ukraine has received at least four shipments of Starlink terminals since March 1, according to Fedorov's tweets.
The Ukrainian official last tweeted about a new batch of Starlink terminals arriving in the country on Saturday.
Ukraine has also received internet antennas from European allies, Fedorov told The Washington Post in an interview on Friday.
"The quality of the link is excellent," Fedorov told WaPo through a translator. "We are using thousands, in the area of thousands, of terminals with new shipments arriving every other day," he added to the media outlet via a Starlink connection from an undisclosed location.
On March 4, Musk warned Starlink users in Ukraine to turn on the system "only when needed," as they may be targeted in the ongoing war.
Even though security is a concern, Russian hackers have not yet been disrupting the technology, Fedorov told The Post.
"They currently appear to be very busy attacking the websites of our small towns and villages," he told the newspaper. "I think they're just not at that point yet."

“Yakov Rezantsev is the second Russian lieutenant general to die in the war against Ukraine,” Ukraine’s defense ministry said Friday. “Torn apart Georgian Abkhazia, bombed-out Syria and finally inglorious elimination in Ukraine. This is becoming a typical track-record of Russian generals.”
At the outset of the war, Rezantsev told his soldiers the invasion would be over within hours, prompting unrest among his subordinates as the war dragged on for weeks, according to a conversation intercepted by the Ukrainian army. This led to increasingly low morale among troops, supposedly forcing senior officers to the front lines, according to the BBC.
Russian forces have lost other military officials over the last week, with at least one commanding officer being run over with a tank driven by his own troops, according to local journalist Roman Tsymbaliuk. Russian Col. Yuri Medvedev had both of his legs injured and was then transported to a hospital in Belarus, where some officials reportedly said he later died, according to the Washington Post.
As many as 40,000 Russian troops have been killed, wounded, taken prisoner, or are missing, with estimates the country has already lost one-fifth of its combat forces during the first month of its invasion, a senior NATO military official told the Wall Street Journal earlier this week.

Around 30,000 Ukrainian refugees arrived in France. Half of them traveled through France to Spain, according to Emmanuelle Wargon, French housing minister.
Franceinfo radio's Wargon stated that 100,000 refugees from Ukraine were being welcomed by the government.
France has granted temporary European Union residence permits to Ukrainian refugees. This allows them to access schools and work in France.
The French Ukrainian community was 40,000 strong before the war.

The Government of Ukraine has bought 5,100 RGW90 HH “Matador” anti-tank weapons of the German company Dynamit Nobel Defense, as confirmed by the Bild newspaper. This Saturday, 2,650 of these weapons have already arrived, and the rest will arrive in weekly installments until the end of May, as indicated by the German media.
The total cost of the anti-tank weapons would have cost €25 million. They are grenade launchers that can be used against unarmored (and even armored) targets. Depending on the point of impact, they could take down any Russian tank. They are also used for destroy military equipment, barriers, fortifications and break holes in walls.
In the version that is available on the market, the RGW90 HH uses a charge warhead uniquely. The weapon weighs about eight kilograms and can penetrate more than 600 millimeters of armored steel at a combat distance of 500 meters, with a hit probability of more than 90 percent, according to the manufacturer. It can be used with various ammunition and various optical devices.
Since the commissioning of the RGW90 HH system, several versions have been created, differing in scope, purpose, and weight. In addition to the anti-tank weapons that Ukraine receives, there is RGW90 HH-T (with a cumulative warhead to counter tanks equipped with reactive armor), RGW90 LRMP (with programmable head that explodes on contact with a target or at a distance of 600 or 1200 meters), RGW90 ASM (with a tandem head to destroy fortifications) and RGW90 ILUM (training ammunition that illuminates the 500 meter area for 40 seconds and SMOKE with smoke ammunition).
The German company has also supplied these rocket launchers to Belgium, in a contract signed at the end of 2021 in which the German company receives a total of 19 million euros.
